Shauntay Grant is a writer and spoken word artist from Halifax. She served as Halifax’s poet laureate from 2009 to 2011, and is currently developing her stage play, The Bridge, as 2b theatre’s playwright in residence. Shauntay teaches creative writing at Dalhousie University where she has developed courses in spoken word, storytelling, and other performative genres.
