Rahul Varma is a playwright, essayist, and community activist. He is artistic director of Teesri Duniya Theatre and co-founder of alt.theatre: cultural diversity and the stage. His plays include Land Where the Trees Talk, No Man’s Land, Trading Injuries (a radio drama), and Truth and Treason. Varma lives in Montreal.
Writing has always been a political act, but now more than ever writers have the potential to play a strong role in advocacy, activism, and social justice.
