George Elliott Clarke

George Elliott Clarke served as Toronto Poet Laureate (2012–15), Parliamentary Poet Laureate (2016–17), and has published seventeen books of verse (three award-winning), two novels (one award-winning), five plays, three opera libretti, and two screenplays (nine produced). He’s also the E.J. Pratt Professor of Canadian Literature at the University of Toronto.
