Jamaican-born and Ottawa-raised Dianah Smith is a high school teacher and arts educator. Smith facilitates a weekly writing group at Toronto’s Wychwood Open Doors, leads workshops for teens, and co-facilitated the Toronto Street Writers for three years. She is currently working on her first novel and is the assistant to Ryerson’s Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy.
