Barbara Nickel’s first book of poetry, The Gladys Elegies, won the Pat Lowther Award, and her work has appeared in many magazines and anthologies, including The Walrus, Poetry Ireland Review, and The Malahat Review. Barbara is also an award-winning author of books for young people. She lives and writes in Yarrow, British Columbia.
