The Ontario Arts Council offers a variety of funding opportunities for writers. Its creation grants are the best-known funding opportunities, but the OAC also offers writers fellowships, professional development grants, residency grants, and other kinds of support. Jack Illingworth will provide a brief overview of OAC programs for writers, offer insights into effective applications, and answer general questions about the OAC's programs and processes. Jack Illingworth is the Ontario Arts Council's Literature Officer. He is a reformed critic, a former association executive, a reader, a birder, and a gardener.
