Writing a great story for kids is much harder than you might think. This session identifies many of the basic omissions and commissions of first time kids authors. Lots of concrete tips and advice on how to turn your brilliant idea into a “Read it again!” story. Sharon Jennings is the author of over 70 books for kids, including picture books, middle grade and young adult. She is also a writing teacher, editor, manuscript evaluator and is currently the President of CANSCAIP (Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers).
